Honoring a Neighborhood Favorite — Joe’s Pasta & Pizza

Some places are more than just restaurants. They become part of the neighborhood. Joe’s Pasta & Pizza has been serving Watauga from this location for 25 years. In all that time, I honestly can’t remember meeting anyone around here who didn’t like Joe’s. It’s one of those places people just know—families have their favorite orders, kids grow up eating there, and neighbors recommend it to new neighbors. So we wanted to honor a local institution in our own special way. Rather than simply putting a logo on a cutting board, we designed a custom wooden pizza peel around the story of the restaurant: the brick pizza oven, tomatoes and wheat, “25 Years of Pizza, Pasta & Neighbors,” and the simple idea that seems to sum the place up perfectly: Good Food • Good Friends • Good Neighbors At the bottom, we added a small message from us: Made with appreciation for a Watauga favorite. That's really what A Father’s Heart Engravings is about. Sometimes the best custom piece isn't something you find in a catalog. It's something made specifically for a person, a business, or a place that has earned a spot in people's memories.
